I spent my entire life believing that ‘dieting’ was just how women were supposed to eat. I believed that food was just calories and it was meant to be controlled.

A few years back, when I was working as an analyst in corporate finance, that it finally caught up with me. I was trying to be the successful career woman who had it all together, but inside I felt like a total mess. The restrictive cycles had started to exhaust me and I found myself starting all over again each Monday. I didn’t look and feel my best, it was taking energy out of all the other areas of my life and was totally consuming my thoughts.

All I wanted to do was be in control, but the more I controlled the more out of control I felt.

But in my effort to learn about food (to control it even more) I actually started to discover how amazing the right foods made me feel. As a woman who has struggled her whole life with anxiety, poor sleep, and a total inability to stay sane if I went more than 3 hours without eating, getting my nutrition game on track was a total light-bulb moment. Feeling like I was in the driver’s seat of my health for the first time, I began studying and learning as much as I could. Armed with all this new-found knowledge, I assumed healthy eating would just come effortlessly now, and I could navigate a health-filled life with ease, no matter what life threw at me.

But fast-forward to another corporate gig and a culinary nutrition certification later, even though I was armed with all the information I needed, I was still wasting so much energy stressing over food.

It's not until I started relaxing around the rules and playing around in the kitchen, just having fun experimenting with “health-ified” versions of my favourite meals, that I had my big a-ha moment: I could start working with my body instead of against it. I realized that it wasn’t as much about finding the right plan -- it was about changing my mindset around my relationship with food and my body.  

I discovered that eating could be EFFORTLESS.

Now I help other driven women ditch the diet mentality and food stress through nutrition and mindset coaching so they can look and feel their best -- without the struggle.

  • 4 years experience mentoring nutrition clients one-on-one
  • Contributed original recipes to several online and print publications  
  • Given workshops and nutrition seminars for everything from groups of 5 to over 130 people
  • Created dozens of custom menus for private chef clients, tailored to unique dietary restrictions 
  • Provided menus, workshops, and nutrition consultations to yoga retreats in Canada and Europe
  • 3 years experience as a corporate trainer, developing coaching programs and facilitating training for hundreds of staff members
